New Years Resolution

You know what is kind of mind blowing, the difference between 12/31/16 and 1/1/17. It's not even a 24-hour shift. It's a 1-minute shift and boom, it's different. It may not even feel different but you know it is.

Every New Year, Bethel gives out a word that they hear from God that is going to help guide the year; this year that word is Breakthrough. Click here for a snip-it of the message, but you really should hear the whole thing if you want to be encouraged and mind blown!

The reason I mention it is because I found that although 2016 was actually a great year, I've been wanting breakthrough in a couple areas of my life and I feel like I've been wanting breakthrough for at least 5 years. And I'm so tired of people saying to me, "Well you know everything can change tomorrow." and sometimes things do change in a day (like the year for example) but instead of people saying that they should say, what are you doing about it. I said that once to a friend and they looked at me like, excuse me? But honestly, you can't just wait for things to be dropped into your lap, you have to go and get them, whatever you're looking for breakthrough in. I want to be healed and have the body of a 24-year-old woman, so I work out when I can and try to eat healthy, remove stress from my life and slowly I'm getting better but instead of being impatient, I'm going to declare the promises of God over my life. God is so excited to give me what is promised but He also wants to make sure I can take care of it and if I can handle it. And declarations will allow me to eat the feast God has prepared for me in the presence of my enemies instead of sitting at the table, losing my appetite (that is something Bill talks about in that message). If we can simply look into His face every day, we will get closer to the promises in store for us. So that's my New Years Resolution, what's yours?
