You can ask my mother when I was a kid, I could not draw. I always wanted to but never could understand how I couldn't draw what I was seeing in my head. I remember once, in my art class we had to pair up and draw portraits of one another and I got paired with the best artist in the class. I was so nervous because I didn't want him to be offended at my drawing after he had done an incredible job on me. Seriously it was like looking at a picture! He pretended it wasn't the worst thing he had ever seen. Anyways, when I was at Bethel; we were in stadium seating and there was this girl who was drawing some kind of corsage and so I decided that I would just copy her. Every stroke she did, I did and by the end, it looked pretty good! My friend saw my drawing and told me that I should paint on stage cuz I could draw. I literally laughed so loud that people thought I was manifesting Holy Spirit and they started to get "drunk" in the Spirit. Ha, only at Bethel could I laugh and not get in trouble. I told my friend that I really wasn't any good but she signed me up and the next thing I know I'm painting in front of 100+ people. This blue and yellow painting was my first painting!

The whole experience was exhilarating! Ever since God has been teaching to draw and paint. He will tell me stroke by stroke what to do. Sometimes I get cocky and that's usually when I need an eraser... He tells me how to blend the paint colors together and the difference it makes when you do it on the canvas or on my palette. I'm still learning and definitely not a master but its honor to get lessons from THE CREATOR! When I painted this lady, that was my first official paint of a person and since then I've grown. I'm excited to continue to grow and worship Him as I do it. I love to draw and paint His beauty and whenever or however you get to spend time with THE CREATOR is just ultimately the best hobby!
